Hairhouse Warehouse Franchising Pty Ltd (ACN 159 815 013) (we, our, us) and its franchisees, its subsidiaries and other related bodies corporate (together the Hairhouse Franchise) operate Hairhouse hair and beauty stores across Australia (Hairhouse Stores). We are the franchisor of the Hairhouse Franchise.
Hairhouse offers its customers a loyalty program, Style Society (Loyalty Program), which provides reward points and benefits to members based upon the type and level of spend in Hairhouse stores and online. Joining the Loyalty Program is voluntary.
About this Privacy Collection Statement
We recognise the importance of protecting your privacy when dealing with your personal information and being open and transparent with you in relation to how we collect, store, use and share this information.
This Privacy Collection Statement applies if you choose to create an account with us and thereby join the Loyalty Program. We strongly encourage you to read this Privacy Collection Statement before you create an account and join the Loyalty Program, so that you understand and are comfortable with how we handle your personal information.
What personal information do we collect and how do we collect it?
Personal information and contact details:
When you create an account with us and join our Loyalty Program (including at a Hairhouse Store), we will collect your personal information (full name, date of birth, phone number, address and email address).
Please note that you only need to provide your date and month of birth (and year is not mandatory).
Information about your purchases and transactions:
When you make purchases using your account (including at a Hairhouse Store), we will also collect information about purchases you have made, which count towards your Loyalty Program account (such as what, how and when you make purchases (including the price of those purchases)), and your use of any Loyalty Program benefits (such as using a Style Society voucher towards any of your purchases).
If you do not want us to collect this information (i.e. you do not want your purchases to be attached to your Loyalty Program account), you can always:
- at a Hairhouse Store: not provide your account information when making purchases; and
- online: checkout as a guest using a different email to your Loyalty Program email

- when you visit one of our premises (such as a Hairhouse Store);
- when you call the Hairhouse Franchise or vice versa;
- when you use our online services (such as our websites or our social media channels);
- if you participate in any promotions, competitions or special events;

- in your responses to customer satisfaction, service development, quality control, research surveys and similar activities.
Online and digital services information:
When you use our online services (such as our website), we may collect information from you electronically (through “cookies” and other online technologies), which includes information such as your IP address, browser type and version, referring website address, domain name if applicable, and frequency of visits (and details about your browser and device).

Why do we collect, store and use your personal information?
We collect, store and use your personal information for the following purposes:
- to operate and administer the Loyalty Program, including to properly accrue your loyalty rewards points and provide you with program benefits (e.g. birthday boxes; loyalty vouchers) - this includes sending you communications regarding your points and delivering any benefits to you (such as a voucher you have earned as part of the Loyalty Program);
- to provide you with products and services you have purchased from us;
- to communicate and maintain our relationship with you (including in response to your enquiries about our products and services or any complaints you make);
- to assess the performance of our website, understand trends in consumer behaviour and conduct data analytics activities (including by aggregating personal information) to help understand and improve the operation of our website and the products and services we offer; and
- to track your site navigation, personalise your browsing experience by remembering your preferences, understand your interests and recognise you as a repeat visitor to our website, and to more broadly track statistics about the usage of our website.

We will also collect, store, use and disclose your personal information to identify products and services that may be of interest to you and to communicate with you via email, SMS, social media, or by regular post, to promote:

Important point regarding opting out
Importantly, regardless of whether you opt out from receiving any or all direct marketing communications, we will still communicate with you if we are required by law to provide you with information, or in relation to the products we are providing you with (for example, in relation to delivery information for products, sending you an invoice in relation to a transaction or providing you with any vouchers you have earned through the Loyalty Program).

- the Hairhouse Franchise, including with our franchisees and related bodies corporates and our contractors (for example, to operate our website or our business, fulfil requests by you, and to otherwise provide services to you (including through the Loyalty Program));
- our third party service providers, including web hosting providers, IT systems administrators, mailing houses, couriers, payment processors, data entry service providers, electronic network administrators, debt collectors, and professional advisors such as accountants, solicitors, business advisors and consultants;
- suppliers, partners and other third parties with whom we have commercial relationships, for business, marketing, and related purposes; and
- government agencies, regulatory bodies and law enforcement bodies to comply with our legislative and regulatory obligations, or as otherwise required by or permitted under law.
We may combine or share any information that we collect from you with information collected by other members of the Hairhouse Franchise.
Will your personal information be transferred overseas?
Your personal information may be stored on servers located in Australia, the United States of America, Canada and Germany. We may also from time to time share this information with our third party service providers who provide products and services to us (including in connection with the Loyalty Program) and otherwise in accordance with our Privacy Policy. These third parties may be located (and therefore your personal information may be disclosed) overseas, including the United States of America, Canada and Germany and other countries from time to time.
What happens if we can’t collect your personal information?
If you do not provide us with your personal information, we may not be able to:
- open or operate your Loyalty Program account;
- provide our services to you, either to the same standard or at all;
- properly account for your member benefits; or
- tailor the content of our website to your preferences and your experience of our website may not be as enjoyable or useful.
If you do not wish to provide your personal information and create an account and join the Loyalty Program, you may wish to checkout as a guest, which will mean that we will collect the personal information you provide during the checkout process to process your order and we will also collect the information related to your purchase.
